Voci nel tempo

This third and final part of a trilogy, which began with Il pianeta azzurro followed by Nostos, Il ritorno, is set in Castellaro Lagusello, a village near Mantua, where simple, nearly forgotten gestures accompany life’s seasons. Childhood games, adolescent conflicts, dances, first loves, marriage. The elderly watch in silence; the middle-aged harbor nostalgia for fleeting youth. Voices, ordinary noise, and the sounds of nature accompany the changing light on the landscape as the hours pass. Summer evenings, autumn leaves lifted in the breeze, and the arrival of the first snow marking a new cycle.
