78 Days

Directed by

The life of tree planters in northern Alberta, Canada, during the 78-day planting season. The work involves hundreds of people from around the country. Alone in the wild, housed in desolate campsites, resisting the sun, rain, and snow, as well as bears, flies, swamp and mud, 13 seasonal tree planters, veterans in reforestation by companies that hold them to endless contracts, they challenge and change nature, following its eternal rhythms and adapting themselves physically and psychologically to an existence on the fringe of civilization.
