Berlin Babylon
Directed by
Since the fall of Berlin Wall, in 1989, Berlin has tried to overcome the past restoring its urban structure destroyed in the XX century. Berlin Babylon shows images of a rapidly changing city, the beauty of genuine landscape and the horror of destruction. Outstanding architects, real estate agents, politicians and town planners are seen at work. No interviews, no comments. Music is enough. The Babylonian fairy tale of civilization, violence and construction revives in reunified Berlin, as illustrated by the prologue on the Babel Tower and Alexander the Great, power and greed, demolition and construction problems.
