biography
He was born on October 4th 1959 in Düsseldorf. In 1980 he moved to West Berlin, where he studied history, art history and drama. Later on he graduated in landscape architecture. He shot his first documentaries when he was at university. In 1993 he founded S.U.M.O Film which has produced his shorts Das Sonnenjuwel and The Orange Kiss, and the documentary Stravinsky in Berlin.
