Recent restoration by Kyivnaukfilm, the Kyiv Science Film studio, of five unedited archival films taken during expeditions to Siberia in the 1980s and 1990s presents a historical account from Czarist to present times. The films show the submission of autochthonous people, the exploitation of their land resources and identity, and the environmental consequences thereof.
