Vision man

Directed by

Utuniarsuak Avike is an old Eskimo hunter who has spent most of his life in dangerous situations. Now, at 87, he spends his time in his prefabricated cabin and can no longer hunt polar bears and walruses. He sees the culture of his people crumbling: his language is now spoken by fewer than 300 people. But Utuniarsuak is not bitter. He has a mischievous sense of humor and a very personal view of life and nature. An hour in his company is truly an edifying experience.
