Uscita di sicurezza

Directed by

On 6 April 2009 an earthquake (5.8 on the Richter scale) hit L'Aquila. The city was declared off limits; over 300 died and 65,000 were evacuated. Combining four personal narratives (a priest, a photo reporter, a married couple, members of citizens' committees) and inspired by a book by Ignazio Silone on the experience of a boy during the 1915 Avezzano earthquake, the film describes everyday life in the city in the aftermath of the disaster, devoid of political rhetoric and the stereotyped picture given by the mass media.
