Uomini contro il Po

Directed by

The documentary tells about the reconstruction in the Po delta after the 1952 flood. At the beginning there are images of the area around the Ferrara-Rovigo railway bridge in Pontelagoscuro. The violent power of the water is expressed by showing the whirlpools near the bridge pillars. It is also documented the defence work against the threat of new floods. Life starts again, people come back to their land by train. Children play and go to school, people work again in the fields.
