A film about the passing of time and seasons and, ultimately, the essence of cinema. A composition of Russian countryside farmers and common people's portraits who remain still for the whole length of the shooting, enhance the movement of landscape behind them. The representation of a decaying reality, doomed to being swallowed up by time under the indifference of a more and more hectic world, unable to appreciate nature's slowness.
