La casarella
Directed by
La casarella (The Hide-out) is a cross-section of life in the South of Italy. Two groups of children, aged between ten and thirteen, live in the suburbs of a small town near Naples, Caloria. Here incomplete urbanization allows children to have large areas to play in and many places to hide. The “casarella” in the title (literally: small house) is one of them.
