L'Eldorado di ghiacchio

Directed by

«A gold swollen glacier at a height of 5,400 mt, a crowd of desperate people willing to risk their lives and accept subhuman conditions to get few bits of that huge treasure, working without a contract, safety measures and very often any sort of remuneration for weeks. This is the unbelievable reality of Riconada, the highest shantytown in the world: about 30,000 people living a ghastly life among the Ananea glaciers in the Peruvian Andes. Here the dream of a wealthy future helps them to bear the present nightmare, here hope and predicament have one and the same colour: gold». (Adriano Zecca)
