Il limite

Directed by

The Priamo, an ocean-going fishing boat, is reentering the port of Mazara del Vallo. The crew is getting ready to see their families after 3 weeks fishing in the Mediterranean between Lampedusa, Tunisia, and Libya. But their stay on land will be a short one: soon they will leave for another month away from home. Living and working in close quarters between the ship’s hold and bridge and the horizon in the distance, their days and nights are marked by the rhythm of fishing and the sea. An intimate account of separation, but also of Italy’s largest commercial fishing community and one of the country’s largest Tunisian communities.
