Emiliana

Directed by

This documentary follows closely six musicians of the Reggio Emilia province, narrating their try to live the American myth through blues music, a trip between Po and Mississippi rivers. But Emiliana is not just a film about music coming from an ideal ground placed halfway between via Emilia and the American West, in fact it wants to be a love deed towards the people living blues as a powerful and extreme dream. Emiliana is a story rooted in the open-handed, hot-tempered Emilia, so able to deeply absorb far away images and sounds, to hand them back so close to our emotions.
