Dusty Night

Kabul, Afghanistan. Shouldering brooms, they come on foot from the countryside to the city every day at dusk. During the night, an army of street sweepers cleans the dimly lit streets of Afghan Capital. As they sweep the sand from the street, they think about existence and life’s hardships and how to explain this to their children. Emblematic figures of a country trying to clear away the rubble of its recent past.
