The Udzungwa Mountains and Forests of Tanzania provide rain and climatic conditions favourable for agriculture and the life of local populations. The Eastern Arc Mountains are home to a vast variety of endemic animal and plant species and conserve a pristine natural environment that has remained unchanged for millions of years. Within its research program, the Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali (Museum of Natural History, Trento) is engaged in a cooperation project with local communities for forest preservation. The film illustrates the history of this project.

«We spent two months observing and interviewing the people of Chita. But we weren't the only ones watching a world unlike ours. We, too, were "others" for the villagers and as such, objects of their curiosity. Some of these voices were recorded off-camera and others were recorded in front of the camera without us knowing what they were saying. Within the material for telling the story of the cooperation project we found a lot that talks about Africa, about ourselves and our trade as filmmakers».
