Bowling for Columbine

Directed by

Controversial, funny but worrying documentary about pathological fear and violence in the U.S.A., the Guinness country for gunshot murders in the world. It is Michael Moore himself who drives us searching for the causes of a reality suspended halfway between grotesque and tragedy, starting from the Columbine High School slaughter. Mass media escalating coverage of violent acts, the fear of race, Charlton Heston's NRA (National Rifle Association), Marylin Manson's music but, first of all, the big amount of easy-to-get guns going around, interchange with director's inquiries and interviews. Michael Moore does not waver and denounces all the wrongs of the system through a thought-provoking film which provides a strong itch to a deep and wide reflection.
