Auroville Towards a Sustainable Future

Directed by

Since 1968, a small group of people from all over the world have been joining hands to build Auroville, a town near Pondicherry on the east coast of southern India. Inspired by the vision of Sri Auribondo, the city has grown thanks to experimentation with alternative ecological methods that have transformed a barren land into a lush forest, as well as through the collaboration between the locals and the newcomers who shared their knowledge and learned from one another. The film recounts the trials and successes in making alternative technologies work, proving that anything is possible with determination and perseverance.
