The Seeds of Vandana Shiva

Directed by

The documentary follows the life and work of Vandana Shiva, Indian environmentalist, activist and scientist. Following the Gandhian principles of non-violence and opposition to oppression, she works for biodiversity and food sovereignty and battles the huge agrochemical multinationals that menace public health. A journey focused on the crucial events that have influenced her choices, on the people she has met, and on her fight against all the practices that are compromising traditional agriculture and destroying the legacy of rural culture: for example the corporate models of the multinationals that favour monoculture, as they are only interested in profit. A tribute to an extraordinary and influential personality, a rebel and a true global icon.
