A director, screenwriter and producer, he made his debut with fiction films such as The Best Revenge (1996) before going on to make committed documentaries such as Sons of Africa (2014). He and his wife (Camilla Denton Becket) own the production company Becket Films, which makes documentaries on environmental and social justice issues.
