About the Movie A World of Biodiversity

FAO: World Food Day

Every year on October 16, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations celebrates World Food Day, the anniversary of its founding in 1945 in Quebec City, Canada. The theme for World Food Day 2004 is "Biodiversity for Food Security". This theme emphasizes the importance of biodiversity in ensuring sustainable access to good-quality food for all the world's inhabitants, in sufficient quantities for a healthy and active life. To mark this important event, CinemAmbiente and FAO are organizing a film festival featuring films produced by FAO over the past two years on the theme of nutrition and food security.
