The Hungry Tide

Directed by

Kiribati is an independent Pacific Island nation composed of 33 atolls in 3 archipelagos with a population of just over 100,000. It is one of the first places that will be destroyed if sea levels rise due to global climate changes, as has been predicted. The only feasible solution appears to be to move the entire population. Maria Tiimon, a native of the Gilbert Islands and now living in Sydney, accompanies us on her journey home and shows us how her people live and what the future may hold for them.
