A young university researcher returns to Turin to finish her doctorate on climate change and includes the Po river as a topic of her study. But are data, graphics, and forecasts enough to understand the context? Wouldn’t it make more sense to listen to what the water has to say, besides the accounts of the people living on the river?. A long walk down the river to learn about a reality unknown to her, to observe the natural and the urban landscape, and gain a better first-hand understanding of the river.

About the Movie Ascoltando la corrente
This short film was written and made using a participatory method involving a group of young people involved in the “CIAK! Sì, parteciPO” project of the City of Turin, created by Elena Comino and Laura Dominici, Politecnico di Torino, with the support of the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. The film entailed four months of workshops conducted by Silvia Pesce, a film director and video maker.
