The Here Now Project

Directed by
From the streets of Brooklyn to the forests of Siberia, an endless series of wildfires, floods, and storms revealed the full force of climate change, just as scientists have been predicting for the past 50 years. The story is based on the eye witness accounts of laypeople from around the world. The film started with material collected from social media, then became a diary with entries consisting of videos people took with their cell phones, yielding a picture of nature and climate change, as well as documenting the surprise and the courage people muster in a calamity, from locust invasions, to freak snowfalls and heatwaves.
