To solve the problem of man's food requirements, scientist Geral Deemer exposes a tarantula to radiations and injects a special nutritious substance into it. The spider begins to grow more and more and, after escaping from the laboratory, threatens the whole of Arizona. The emergency unit chief in the final part is played by Clint Eastwood.
