In the heart of Germany, 2000 police take action against 200 activists struggling to defend Dannenröder Forest against the construction of a new highway. The battle between politicians and court orders has been going on for nearly 40 years. The federal government is determined to put down any form of resistance. The story centers on the anger and the betrayed hopes of young people who are fighting for a sustainable future and against the blindness of politicians who care nothing about climate change except for profit and their personal interests. The activists respond to the uncontrolled exploitation of the land and the destruction of nature with the slogan, ”They are trying to bury us but forget that we are the seeds”.
