A mother and her daughter on an alpine pasture in East Piedmont 1400 meters above sea level, surrounded by their animals, alpine meadows, and mighty crests. The day begins with collecting the cream, cleaning out the stalls, and making butter - a Slow Food Presidium. During the long June afternoon, the daughter grazes the animals in the tall grass while her mother manages the dairy production - the family’s source of livelihood. The second milking provides material for the following day’s work. The milk is worked by tireless hands. Water springs from the rock and flows into streams that cross pastures, building in a crescendo between the camera and the natural surroundings.
