Serafino

Directed by

The adventures of Serafino, a young, simple-minded shepherd, with unpredictable sometimes clumsy, sometimes disrespectful manners, widely considered a dolt. Happy to watch over his flocks, nothing seems to bother him. He enjoys his rustic life and manages to be quickly released from military service. When he inherits a huge sum from his favorite aunt, the family tries to revoke the will and find him a wife. He shares the inheritance with his friends and freely gives in to the temptations of his betrothed. A rural, no frills world in which Serafino represents the last of plain folk who live in harmony with nature and are immune to modern society’s hypocrisy.
