River

Directed by

Following on the visually astounding Mountain, an audiovisual symphony of climbing excursions to the world’s most challenging peaks, Peedom’s recent film takes us on a tour of rivers from source to mouth. A voyage through time and space over six continents captured in unusual perspectives, aerial and satellite images. A cinematographic-musical odyssey to discover the relationship between water course and human destiny, the river flow that has modeled the landscape over the millennia, interweaving the advancement of culture and exploration. The bare screenplay leaves the power of narration to the images in celebrating the wildness and the vulnerability of rivers.
