Plastica connection

Directed by

An incredible fact-finding investigation in Turkey shows how the Western world, especially the European Union (including Italy) is filling the most fragile areas of the planet with its plastic or non-recyclable waste, ignoring the ongoing environmental calamity that will affect everyone. Despite government promises to reduce production, the huge amount of single-use and throwaway plastic is bound to triple its devastating impact in the coming decades. The message is clear: we only have one ecosystem and if we continue to think that we are "only" contaminating "remote farmland", the vicious cycle in which we are trapped will never be broken.
