Addicted to Plastic

Directed by

A good eye opener to the consequences of some of our choices would be a trip to the Easter Garbage Patch, an area about the size of Eastern Europe, where tons of plastic driven by ocean currents collect in the mid Pacific causing irreparable damage to the ocean's ecosystem. This in addition to the risk of intoxication to ourselves from the substances contained in the objects we use every day. With 3 years of filming in 12 countries, lan Connacher has put together an accura-te account of the possible solutions, history, hazards, and widespread use of plastic which has revolutionized modern life.
