600.000 fibre in un respiro

Directed by

Hidden among the 200,000 pages comprising the proceedings of the case filed by former employees of the Eternit factory, Casale Monferrato, against the company management are the stories of workers who had developed lung diseases after occupational exposure to asbestos without adequate protection and the tale of a city still mourning its dead. Though now closed, the factory still haunts the city; its foreign owners knew of the risks asbestos exposure carries yet did nothing to protect the factory workers. The film documents the first class action suit filed in Italy.
