LEGOVIDEOinBVU

Directed by

The documentary is a tribute to the production company Legovideo di Cocito & Pastore, active in Turin from 1984 to 2022. Created as a triptych in split screen, it uses stock footage edited in U-MATIC / BVU, a format that the company used from its foundation to the early 1990s. This film project was developed as part of wider research on the recovery and the restoring of memories in audiovisual form, a long-time research project that the director has been carrying out in conjunction with the Associazione Museo Nazionale del Cinema (AMNC). Through the pans and long shots of the well-known TV spots Intervalli italiani (1989 - 1992), the documentary shows the way in which time and spaces change over the years, starting from the outer suburbs of Turin and progressively moving to Italy in general.
