La transumanza della pace
Directed by
Convinced that he had to do something about the damage left behind by the Balkans War and to help in creating conditions for the area’s reconstruction, Gianni Rigoni Stern transferred his experience and expertise from his native Asiago plain to Suceska, at Srebrenica, in Bosnia, also bringing with him 48 head of cattle as a starting-up gift to the area’s livestock raisers. Thus begins the story, part road movie, part fable, of the difficult future for re-establishing farming in the Bosnian community, still burdened by the aftermath of the war that ended 15 years ago.
