La malédiction du gaz de schiste

Directed by

When the residents of a Polish village near the border with the Ukraine, famous for its natural beauty, hear that Chevron Corporation, an American multinational energy corporation, is planning to start hydraulic fracturing, a process oil and gas drilling companies use to fracture rock formations deep in the earth to extract shale oil and natural gas, they are not contrary to the project - until they learn about the disastrous consequences the controversial drilling technique has on the environment. Thus begins their battle against company. A story similar in many ways to that of a community in Pennsylvania, called the Saudi Arabia of the United States because of its vast underground oil shale reserves.
