La bambina deve prendere aria

The documentary is an act of love for her newborn daughter, for her people, and for her city, Caserta. In describing the waste crisis in Campania, the director begins from the perspective of a mother concerned for the health and growth of her children. But the issue becomes broader, involving the local population. She discovers, for example, the presence of dioxin in breast milk or buildings constructed with concrete mixed with radioactive waste requiring disposal. She uncovers the often deliberately hidden causes of an unsustainable situation. Alternating interviews, animated sequences, and images that retrace the phases of the emergency, La bambina deve prendere aria addresses one of the most dramatic problems of recent years with a completely original, personal approach.
