Citoyen Nobel

Directed by

Winning the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 2017 changes the life of scientist Jacques Dubochet, who suddenly finds himself cast in the spotlight of international success at advanced age. Having his opinions widely sought, he wonders how he can put the unexpected visibility to good use. Can he have a role in identifying in which battles to fight? Can he become a “Nobel citizen” by taking on the responsibility of researcher and member of the human community? Greta Thunberg’s speech upsets everything. The film documents the scientist’s path, an original and extraordinary science communicator.
