Breaking Social

Directed by

An inquiry into the models of the so-called global plutocracy, which is based on “extractivism”, the indiscriminate removal of Natural resources that causes irreversible damage to the ecosystem, and on profits, often accumulated illegally and protected by the high walls of tax havens. The acute gaze of investigative journalists shows how a small nucleus of plutocrats have taken control of the world, demolishing the principles at the core of the social contract. Despite this, the documentary goes beyond the mere cynism and pessimism by showing how anger and frustration can be channelled to start true change and to create a better society.
