When Two Worlds Collide
Directed by
The Peruvian President Alan Garcia (in charge from 2006 to 2011), eager to enter the world stage, began aggressively extracting oil, minerals, and gas from untouched indigenous Amazonian land. They are quickly met with fierce opposition from the indigenous people living in the Amazon jungle, led by Alberto Pizango, whose impassioned speeches against Garcia’s destructive actions become a rallying cry: a tense war of words erupts into deadly violence between both sides.
