Uranium Project
Directed by
Italy's largest uranium lode is located in Val Seriana, province of Bergamo. When AGIP began exploration in the area for extracting uranium ore in the 1960s, which also had disastrous environmental consequences, a local citizen's initiative managed to block the project. The matter seems settled for good, unless Italy decides to return to nuclear power.
