Until the End of the World

Directed by
The film explores one of the fastest-growing sectors in food production: intensive aquaculture. Conflicts over the farming of salmon, trout, sea bream, sea bass, and other fish species are affecting production areas in Italy, Greece, Spain, Senegal, and Chilean Patagonia. While fish farming holds promise for meeting the food demand of an estimated 9.7 billion people in 2050, many communities see it as a threat to their lifestyle and natural resources. Concerns about food security, environmental sustainability, and colonization can be heard around the world from diverse stakeholders combating an increasingly urgent issue.
