Tornallom

Directed by

The haphazard urban expansion of Valencia continues. Development of the port area will destroy another historic district, La Punta, where the local residents have united forces to fight back against expropriation and to keep their accustomed ways of life. After years of battle, they’ve decided to invite squatters and young people from other local initiatives to move into the neighbourhood and occupy the vacant buildings. Tornallom (a local term for working without being paid) is the story of a battle that has united old residents and newcomers.
