The Witness

Directed by

Eddie Lama is a construction entrepreneur from Brooklyn with an inborn dislike for animals. One day a woman asks him to take care of her cat, and Eddie reluctantly accepts. Here his transformation begins: he starts bringing abandoned cats found at construction sites back to his office; he becomes a vegetarian. Miraculously, he even goes on to become a committed animal rights activist, heading an educational organization (Fauna Vision) as well as a shelter for abandoned pets (Oasis). The Los Angeles Times called this “...perhaps the most important and persuasive animal film ever made”.
