The Story of Plastic

Directed by

A journey across three continents to document the catastrophic impact of plastic pollution. Disturbing images of plastic garbage accumulating on the land, in the seas, rivers, and littoral zones. In addition to the piles of plastic are the toxic emissions from its production and disposal. The film draws on interviews with the experts about the effects of plastic on ecosystems and human health, as well as archive material that demonstrates the links between the petroleum and the plastic industry, and the presence of plastic in everyday life. A complex phenomenon for which a radical change is necessary, as advocated by environmentalists.
