The Dream of Pearl

Directed by

Set on the Iranian island of Kish, in the Persian Gulf. Abdolrahman is an old pearl diver who continues to ply his trade each day: three breaths and then down he goes, with a weight, a rope, a knife and a net. Old age and melancholy lead him to dream, and in his most luminous dream there lies a container at the bottom of the sea, full of desperation and hope.
