The Age of Consequences

Directed by

Is there a relationship between climate change, the increased resource scarcity, and the increase in migration flows linked to the spread of international conflicts? Through an investigation assembling the U.S. Agency for National Security, interviews with senior army and military veterans, director Jared P. Scott takes us beyond the headlines of the war in Syria, the civil unrest resulting from the Arab Spring, the rise and consolidation of ISIS. The scarcity of water and food, drought, extreme weather conditions, and rising sea levels turn out to be accelerators of instability and conflict catalysts in the most unstable areas of the planet.
