Columbia has one of the world’s largest paramos: a unique ecosystem nestled in the mountains between 2900 and 5000 m.a.s.l. The Andean population has farmed this extraordinary biome for generations but is under pressure by multinational mining companies to leave the area. In Boyaca province, an important source of the country’s water supply, seasoned activist Don Eduardo, farmers César Pachón and Rosita Tres face the powerful mining company determined to start coalmining in the area. Three different stories that share a common plot: the battle to maintain an ancient culture in its ancient setting.
