A family and a small community faced by economic hardships and the initial effects of climate change need to unite to meet tomorrow’s challenges. An odd men’s chorus and a woman director. This is the parable of Maria, a young cellist, disappointed by the cruel competitiveness of the music world, returns to her native mountain village, an enclave that still speaks cimbro, an ancient Germanic dialect, that soon may disappear and be forgotten. She embraces the new challenges with determination to make the best of what life offers. Based on a true story, the film portrays with humor and hope a community that comes back to life through music.
