The increasingly widespread use of GMOs could result in a radical transformation of our countryside in the foreseeable future. Aside from the devastating ecological effects, there is the real risk of a springtime mountain meadow's rich diversity of plant forms and colors becoming a pale memory, replaced by a loss of variety for the sake of achieving standard colors.
