Sustainability is one of those words that has become hot currency in the collective imagination and present debate. But what do we know about this much abused concept that originated in the hard sciences and then quickly gained acceptance in social, environment and economic circles, but with the risk of losing its appropriate meaning? The opinions of experts, activists and academics from Milan, Africa, and Japan were collected and recorded on Super8 to define of the real meaning of “sustainability”, a term often employed to sound false alarms or create gloomy scenarios.
