Organismes gènètiquement modifiès

Directed by

The video clearly illustrates the problems of using genetically modified organisms in agriculture. One of the risks pointed out is the growth of super-weeds due to the transfer of modified genes from the cultivated plants to the infesting ones. Another risk is the development of super-insects owing to the use of modified genes in the production of substances that are supposed to kill some types of insects. As the damage is irreversible, it is emphasized the necessity to adopt some precautions in using such technologies and alternative natural methods are suggested. Finally, the presumed capability of biotechnologies to solve the problem of world famine has proved false.
